Legal Question in Real Estate Law in South Carolina

real estate law

I am buying a foreclosure property from a bank. The bank accepted by offer. Now they want me to transfer the funds to their attorney's bank account before closing, and before the final walk through. I would prefer to give them a certified cashier's check at closing. What is your opinion?

Re: real estate law

You said this was in Florida? If you, you need to post your question for an attorney in Florida as the laws and process can vary greatly from state to state. Here in South Carolina we don't do it that way. Since you are the buyer, in SC only YOUR attorney would have control of the moeny, not the sellers.
