Co signer

I am a co-signer of a car loan that is not payed on time each month,messing my credit up what are my legal rights?

You are entitled to have an explanation attached to your credit report. If you have to pay on the note, you can sue the maker of the note.

Other than that, there's not much you can do, since you guaranteed that the note will be paid.
