Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My father remarried my step mothers children were entrained and had nothing to do with her, my father was beneficiary of a small policy but he passed month before her. I was the only child financially and physically supporting a taking care of them. When my step mother passed. my step siblings wrote letters to coroner and myself relinquish ing their next of kens rights, I am listed as the next of kin on Death cert. But as the insurance company sent them the form to release their claim to this policy they changed their minds. My dad and step mother also owed me a lot of money this policy would not cover. I sold my car to pay for funeral and other expenses , there was nothing salvageable from their home. I sent my step siblings photos and health records ect.. Do I really have no rights to this inheritance?

I'm assuming they both died without a Will and that the insurance policies did not name you as a beneficiary. Under that scenario, you would not have any inheritance rights. HOWEVER, if you can prove that your father owed you money, you could file a claim against your stepmother's estate and try to get paid that way.
