If I just move out of my house at 17 can my parents do anything?

Technically you are still a minor child in the State of Texas. They can demand you come home. They can contact the local policing agencies - police, constable and/or sheriff and see if one of them will make you come home. It's up to these policing agencies policy if they will get involved.

I doubt CPS will get involved. Again, it is up to the local CPS office if they want to get involved in your case since you are 17.

The moment you turn 18, you are an adult for civil purposes in the State of Texas. For criminal purposes in the State of Texas, you are already an adult.
