Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

IC contract

I have worked as an IC for the same company for 19 years. They recently hired a new National Sales Manager and we received a new contract. It is very detailed regarding new requirements. I do not believe it is legal for them to require us to provide daily activities, including written reports, vacation time, etc. They are also limiting vacation time. Many of us also contract with other companies. Are there any legal guidelines which we can use to dispute this contract? I understand that if we sign, we are legally bound. I have written a letter of duress and had it notorized. Is this sufficient to dispute this contract once it is signed? I cannot resign at this time since this is my major source of income. The contract was dated 6/15/07 but not postmarked until 6/23/07. 30 days from 6/15 was given for us to return the signed contract or we will be automatically terminated. What recourse do we have, if any? Can they terminate us if we dispute? Thank You

Re: IC contract

You better call a local attorney who specializes inn labor employmennt law and works for employeees..most work for big business..If you want a referral, call..butyou may not have any rights and a notarized statement as to how it affects you..in my opinion is useless..
