Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

I am a manager at a facility where we have customers on location. There are two managers at this location, myself and another gentleman. The other gentleman has been telling our Vice President that the customers do not want to deal with me on any of their jobs. This has been proven to be untrue by the customer. Does the fact the other manager is telling our Vice President lies about me on a location constitute defimation of character or something like that?

Yes, it is defamatory. Unfortunately, your legal/court remedy is to file a lawsuit - which you shouldn't do.

Take it up with the Vice President. In fact, get his address and write him a paper letter (no telephones, emails, or faxes). Tell him in detail what happened (dates and times, and names).
