Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

My car was involved in a hit and run accident. My car was parked in my drive way. I managed to get the license plate number of the other vehicle, but when I talked to the other party-- she told me that it was not her problem. She did over $5000 worth of damage to my car. The car hit my house and my moved on the foundation. The police officer said that the insurace company has to begin a law suit process, but I have had to purchase a new vehcile to replace a car that has been paid for, and have to look at damages on my home. What are my recourses for recovery?

If the driver or car owner had insurance, make a claim..but it sounds like severe damages and you must have coverage with your own auto policy for underinsured motorist..Finally, your homeowners pollicy may pay for damage to your house..call us or a compet ent personal injury lawyer if u want help NOW..
