Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

dog comes in my yard gets bit

my dog made a whole allowing dog to enter yard. they played and my rott hurt the dog. Animal Control was called, I had to show proof of rabies. Nothing else required. Now neighbor taking me to court for medical fees, fence (We built the fence), lawyer fee, etcs., In San Antonio I was told by ACS if incident occured in my yard I am not liable. Please guide, not sure what to do.

Reach a compromise with neighbor or call a lawyer. You need to defend.
