Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Gas lines through property

We recently purchased land (20 acres, no improvements) outside city limits. The gas company had ran gas lines ''on top'' of the land from the meters also found exposed larger pipe (approx 4 ft). The gas co. said a previous owner gave them right a way to run major line through our property. Can we make them move their lines off our property, is that legal, what are our options? No paperwork showing this when purchased.

Re: Gas lines through property

If your title policy does not mention the gas company easement, you have a title claim. Hopefully you purchased a policy at closing.
