Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Gift Deed

My grandfather gifted 2 plots of land to my brother and I. My grandfather recently passed away and I want to get the deed in my name. But, I haven't talked to my brother in 4 years and don't even know where he is. We are both named on the gift deed. Do I need him to get the deed in my name? Is there any way around it if I do?

Re: Gift Deed

I'd have to look at the gift deed to see what it says before I can properly answer. If you would like to email or fax a copy I could give you a free telephone consultation to explain your options once I have a chance to examine the document.
