Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Texas Divorce w/Home

Greetings,

During our two year old marriage, we purchased a home. We were approved on wife's credit only. I signed many documents during the course of this purchase along with my wife. However, I did not sign Note. Bank has verified that I am not on the mortgage. Wife is the sole borrower. I signed the Deed of Trust. I am unclear what the Title is, whether it's synonymous with another document or whether I've signed it. I have filed for divorce.

Am I legally obligated to continue paying the mortgage?

Many thanks

Re: Texas Divorce w/Home

No. The only reason you signed the deed of trust is to provide notice of your homestead rights in the property as a spouse of the borrower.
