Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Texas

Sexual or just harassment?

What do you do and is it just harassment or sexual harassment if a co-worker follows you everywhere, wants to be where you are all of the time and buys you things you never asked for, won't let you speak to male associates, won't take back gifts, throws fits if I ignore him such as kicks things, slams his lunch against the table or at the garbage can, cries to get my attention, follows me to my car when I'm trying to get away from him and try to eat in my car, punches at the air cursing and you've been to management (three times to be exact to three different managers ) and they laugh and tell you he's harmless. You've calle district management and they are rude and so nothing gets accomplished. The problem still exists not so bad now but it's still there. I can't afford to quit. I know management hates me because oh, poor John! Meanwhile I find myself not wanting to fix my hair or do my make-up or even get out of bed. I cry when I am alone and I feel so depressed. I have to do something. If I transfer I'll be running away and they've all won. Is there anything here I can do legally to get management to realize this is not a game and that I don't see john as harmless?

Re: Sexual or just harassment?

This is a clear case of "hostile environment" sexual harassment as to which you have every right to recourse through appropriate company channels or, failing that, complaint to the responsible governmental agencies and private action. You should not have to put up with this any longer.
