Legal Question in Family Law in United Kingdom

I am married for 8 years have no children, have not worked but helped my husband as housewife. If we divorce what rights do i have. Do I get 50% of all the assests etc, even the ones he may have acquired before our marriage.

50% would certainly be the starting point but there may well be other factors to be taken into consideration which would vary this. Before advising conclusively it will be necessary to consider all the factors required in section 25 of the matrimonial causes act.
