State Employee Consulting fee

Is it legal to pay a state employee a consulting fee? If the consulting relates to the daily job, and your company fall under their jurisdiction.

Not unless there is a specific statute that requires payment of that fee. If the state employee is requesting a fee, which is not based on a statute, then notify the Attorney General's office. Usually state employees are paid by the state, and are not entitled to any other kind of a fee for their personal services.
