Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

My mother purchased a vehicle for me as a gift but charged it to her Discover credit card a while back. Due to failing health she now only has Social Security and can no longer afford to pay the credit card. Can the credit card company garnish her Social Security check or repossess my vehicle since it is solely in my name on the title of the vehicle and shows no lienholders?

No, SS cannot be garnished for this kind of debt nor can thre one claiming such a debt against your mother seize your vehicle which is titled only in

your name as the sole owner.in an attempt to satisfy a debt for

which you cannot be held liable.
