Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Selling marital property

I was separated briefly from my husband and during the process I sold our dning room set because I needed money (husband turn off cell, took truck, and closed bank account) can he use this against me when the division of property takes place. He would say I stole furniture or stole from account. I then moved back in and he was ok with the fact that it was sold. We never replaced the set (I told him I would purchase a new one)

Re: Selling marital property

The value of his share of the property which you sold could be added to what he is entitled to receive in the final divison of the marital property.
