Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

car towing and disposal

My son's ex-girlfriends' car has been broken down and in my driveway for 6mo. She said it was ok to have it towed and disposed of(the cost to have it repaired was more than it cost to buy). However, her mothers name is on the registration. I do not know the mother and she does not live in my state, nor does the ex-girlfriend. Do I need signed permission from the mother to have it towed or has it been long enough, essentially abandoned in my driveway, to get rid of it?

Re: car towing and disposal

Long enough, indeed, ye long suffering

and most patient one.

Have the heap towed without tarrying any longer or having further dalliance with the idea that you may need the permission of the rightful owner to have this vehicular eyesore now carted away to the junkyard where it very likely belonged well more than six months ago.
