Legal Question in Personal Injury in Virginia

Hello,

What is the proper sign to post on a gate into our backyard to protect us from people sueing us if they get hurt on our property. We have a pool and three Rottweilers and lots of people come over. I do not want to be responsible for accidents. I was thinking of putting up "Enter At Your Own Risk" or "No Tresspassing". We already have a "Beware of Dog" you see coming in the drive to the house. But the back gate leads to the pool and the yard for the dogs. Of course, I want to do what is best to protect our family.

Thanks,

Tina

Tina,

You should probably have signs visible from every direction as you enter the property. Pool should be gated of course and marked with appropriate footage and no diving signs, etc. You will need plenty of insurance coverage and an umbrella policy, talk to your insurance agent.

Hope this helps.

Cary
