do I need a lawyer for driving on suspended

My husband was pulled over for expired inspection,plates and no insurance. His licence was expired and suspended because he had failed to carry sr22 insurance after getting a DUI but he didnt have a vehicle so he thought he didnt need to carry it. Does he need a lawyer? Is there any chance he could go to jail? He plans to plead guilty because he knows it was wrong to drive without a valid licence. Is this the right thing to do?

Your husband needs competent criminal defense counsel to represent him. Driving While Suspended

is a jailable offense in the Commonwealth. If he cannot afford to hire such counsel on his own he should request that the court appoint one to represent him.
