Legal Question in Family Law in Wisconsin

Divorce help

I am seeking advice on obtaining a divorce. My husband and I separated nearly a year ago, and since that time I have tried repeatedly to get together with him and file for divorce together. He has since moved, and I have no way of finding him. I don't feel I should be responsible for filing on my own, but feel like I don't have any options if I want to proceed. Do I have a legal leg to stand on? Is there anyway I can find him, and get him to proceed with the divorce?? He has signed the papers, but has not paid for his portion. Please help!

Re: Divorce help

WI still has "no fault" divorce, meaning that

both parties participation is not required.

You are therefore free to file your own action

for divorce whether or not he agrees to it, and

regardless of whose behavior caused the break

up. It is also possible to serve him by publication

of the summons in a newspaper in his city of

last known residence. Feel free to send a

private e-mail for further information.
