Additional Information Matthew King was born Kansas City, Missouri, on December 15, 1975. He attended the University of Washington where he received his Bachelor of Arts in English and Comparative Literature in 1998. He is fluent in Spanish. He received his Juris Doctor from Seattle University School of Law in 2001. He is admitted to practice in Washington State. He is an active member of the Washington State Bar Association and the King County Bar Association.

Mr. King practices in the areas of insurance defense litigation, construction defect litigation, environmental litigation, and land use law. He has experience in both state and federal environmental law and has assisted in obtaining permits as well as toxic waste cleanups. Mr. King is a published author of the Environmental Law and Practice volumes of the Washington Practice series. In addition, he has written the following articles for the King County Bar Bulletin:
