Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
I am 30yrs old,female and want to marry the person I love.we have applied for court marriage.my parents are against it.im being physically and verbally abused at home by my family.they are stalking me all time.they are also creating trouble by bribing cops who have to submit a report on my residence verification.they threaten and intimidate anyone who threatens them. i want to move out of my house, because I am not safe here.im losing my sanity and becoming suicidal because of physical and psychological torture. can I file a restraining/protection/stay order against my parents?

Yes, you may make a complaint to the local police and / or the Magistrate of your area for protection order. you may also move out of the house and start living with your boy-friend.

Yes, you should file a restraining protection order against your parents, if they are forcing you to marry against your own wishes. You should also report the matter to the local Police for their information.
