Legal Question in Family Law in India
My husband is an alcoholic with bipolar disorder. We have 3 children two girls one boy. All 3 are american citizens I and my husband have resided abroad in different countries most of our married life. My husband did many sacrifices, gave and sent money in the early years of our marriage which helped all his siblings and father to settle and have property which is jointly held by 3 brothers.
I have been through a lot of mental trauma because of dowry demands, to not have children, and abused for bearing girls.
At this point I moved out as it is harmful for me and my children (one is under the age of 18). My husband has severe mood swings and has become very abusive, threatening. My issue: How do I protect my interests and my children's interests in the property that my husband can sign away knowingly or in a fit of grandiose benevolent mood not looking for his own needs or for family. Also I am suspicious that if he were to go alone to India (currently He cannot travel as he has a DUI)his life would be at stake

We may advise you only about his properties in India.
Firstly, you should claim back the place where you had lived before with your children; secondly, you may file a suit for injunction restraining your husband to alienate his properties; You may also claim a share for you and the children in his properties.
To pursue your legal rights and remedies, you may need a local lawyer.
you may send me your details and we will arrangement, so that he may not sell his property, for that you have to file a case in India.
