Legal Question in Family Law in India

I am married for 8 years and our relationship was not very cordial. I tried my level best to work out my relationship with my husband. Initially it was only verbal abuse but past two years I have faced domestic violence too. I have a 6 years old son and pregnant for the second one. Off and on we had very rough patches whenever his family members stayed with as for prolonged periods like my Brother in law stayed for four years. They create misunderstanding between us.
After conceiving for the second child my husbands and mom in laws (who started living with us for taking care of my son as I m working ) torture mental and physical both got up-to the level that I couldn't sustained. One day after fight and beating of my husband I called police and filed a complaint against him. I was 5 months pregnant and my son went to visit grand Pa for a week, just after this incident, after a fight which was going on from past few months, My husband left me to my parents place. I was in such a state that could not think of anything and my son was there with father in law that moment.
Now I am unable to think any future with my husband as he really been irrisponsible for his husbands and parental duties. I want my sons custody without divorce. I am working and earning equally as my husband.
Please guide me for the same.
My husband is abusive, he drinks very often and my son been a witness of domestic violence. I don't want to remarry or reconcile this relationship.
I am about to deliver the baby in two months and my elder son was totally dependent upon me...it is a tough period for me and my son as they are not letting him meet or talk to me.
Pls guide me for his custody.
