Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

My mother has alheizmer and my father is misusing her funds and vehicle which she purchased with her retirement money. He is spending her money on other women and letting them drive her truck. My mother stays with me and gave me power of attorney before she got sick. What can I do?

The question is how does her husband, your father, get access to her funds. If they have a joint account, then I would advise you seek to move her money to a trust account for her benefit. The real key would be to prevent him from having access to her money. If there is a "lucid" moment, your mother can sign papers to change the account.
