In the 1990's I worked for the Dept. of Defense as a civilian. In 1992 I hurt my back and after a few months it was discovered that my disc was infected and the infection had spread into the backbone. the disc was removed and I was put on W.C. for about 3 months until I could work again. Am I entitled to a scheduled award for the removal of the disc in my

Re: federal schedule award

You may be entitled to an award for permanent disability if you get a disability rating from your doctor that indicates that you've suffered a permanent injury to your back. However, you may have waited too long if you have't received any benefits since the early '90s. You should find an attorney who specializes in worker's compensation, especially federal government cases, as soon as possible and find out what your specific rights are at this time.
