Under Alabama's workers compensation law, they are responsible for vocational rehabilitation if you cannot return to your job. In reality, your case is usually settled for a lump sum amount which includes the vocational retraining because they do not want to have to continue paying and administering your claim. They are also responsible for your medical treatment for the rest of your life as long as it's related to your injury.
