Legal Question in Employment Law in Alaska

I asked my boss to leave work early one day because I wasn't feeling well. He let me go but the next week I was fired for being suspected of being under the influence at work. Was this legally ok?

Unless you have an employment contract, you are an at-will employee. Your employer does not need a reason to fire you.

Did you see a doctor or other health-care provider that day? If so, you might want to give your employer a letter from the provider to the effect that you were legitimately sick.
