Legal Question in Personal Injury in Arizona

Child hurt on school playground

My child fractured a bone in his left hand. He fell on it when he tripped over one of many ''potholes'' on the playground. They are covered in grass and therefore can not be seen until it is too late. Is the school at all responsible?

Depends. The school has a duty to keep kids safe. If the school failed to remedy a poor situation they may be liable for any damage to the children.

Get a picture of the "pothole." Proving its existence is crucial. Use a ruler in the picture to show the depth, width, etc. without removing the grass. Leave the grass intact to show that the hole is not obvious to the observer or children. See an injury attorney.
