Appraisals for the value of assets vary depending on why you are in probate. I suspect that you may have a requirement to assess the value of an inventory to perform an accounting which must be submitted to probate administration, but I am uncertain whether you are dealing with a will, a conservatorship or a trust. In order to provide you with a specific answer for your particular situation it would be necessary to have more information.
