Legal Question in Disability Law in California

Learning Disability/ Reasonable Accommodations

10 March 2009

Dear Sir,

In your experience - what information have employer ask

the employee to provide to them from the employees' medical

provider and his confidentialpersonal records records ?

In-spite of what an employer may say what does an

employee actually need to do to have it verified that he / she

has a Disability and to get Reasonable Accommodations ?

Under California Law what is considered'' good enough '' ?

The type of Disability I,m talking about is something less

obvious like a Learning Disability from birth and an Anxiety

Disorder not something as clear cut as a man in a wheel chair

with only one leg.

 Thank you for your help.

Employers are entitled to demand you provide from your doctor[s] written and reasonable explanation of your permanent and life altering disability condition, and the scope and details of any need for reasonable accommodation at work for you to be able to perform all the essential functions of your job with that accommodation. If they refuse or retaliate or discriminate against you, feel free to contact me for the legal help you'll need.
