Re: Trial after dismissal

I am assuming you have been sued in the bankruptcy court under either 11 U.S.C. 523 or 727. I cannot answer your question without knowing what the specific allegations are that were made in the complaint. Generally the judges will make every effort to extend individuals without an attorney every possible leniency. However, it is always better to have an attorney.

Re: Trial after dismissal

If you are in southern California I specialize in defending civil lawsuits and I have a fair amount of bankruptcy experience. I would be glad to review your situation and give you an initial consultation without charge or obligation.

Re: Trial after dismissal

A case specific answer is required for your general question. Thus, without knowing the allegations within the complaint (also whether it is a complaint to determine dischageability or objection to discharge)it would be a disservice to attempt to speculate what the specific facts are. It would be in your best interest, even if you are planning on definding on your own, to at lest take advantage of a consultation from an experienced bankruptcy attorney. Also, if your case is in the Central Distict there is a Pro Bono service for qualified debtors. Best of Luck.
