judgement

if i have received a summons garnishing my wages, even though I know nothing of the case to begin with nor did i ever receive any paperwork ever to appear in court for this action in question, is it legal for them to do a garnishment of my wages for for job????

If you believe the judgment is wrongful (you do not owe the money) and the first you heard of the lawsuit was when your wages were garnished, yes, you can file a motion to set aside the judgment. You would need to do this right away, and through an attorney (you only get one shot). Reasons why you do not owe the money include the debt is stale (more than 4 years since you last paid or promised to pay).
