Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

New rv

I ordered a new rv 60 days ago. it is not ready for delivery yet. I do not want to go in and sign a new contract? The orig contract 60 days ago said there is no cooling off period. However, I did not take delivery. The mgr said they can force me to purchase it through arbitration is that true? CAn I get my deposit back?

Re: New rv

Yes, they can make you accept it, especially if it is a custom order. If you do not, they would try to sell it but they may be able to come after you for the difference between what they sold it for and what your contract price was.

If there is an arbitration provision, they will proceed with that. You may also be responsible for their costs.
