Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
i bought a car from a man, and paid 5500 up front cash, but owed another 1100. our contract says i will make payments of 250 every two weeks. becuase of the hoilday my payment was late. he came and took the car without notifying me, or anyone else on the private property. the vehicle has at least 3000 worth of property in it. we have contacted the police and not sure what to do next?

You can try to keep the local police persuaded to help, and you may have to sue. There is no easy answer.
