Legal Question in DUI Law in California

Got caught with the beer on ground next me, gave me court date.
I was walking down some outside stairs with a friend and we both had a keg cup in our hand. cop came around the corner on a horse and when i saw the horses head i put the cup down on the ground next to me. He didn't ask it it was my cup or if i was drinking, he just asked for the cup and my liscense and gave me a court date. Does my word of this provide enough evidence to win the case? the only evidence he has is a picture of the cup.

No. You will have have more than denial of the police testimony. Witnesses would help.
