Legal Question in Family Law in California

Child Suport

My fiance is divorced with 2 children that he pays support for and has no parenting time with currently. If we are married, can my income be included in determining the child support (i.e. will we end up paying more). We recently purchase a home and the child support went up based on the fact that he now owns. Please advise.

In a general sense, your income may put him in a higher tax bracket which could lower his support obligation.

For a specific opinion regarding your individual circumstances, I suggest that you consult with an experienced family law lawyer. Experience is not expensive, it's priceless!
