My daughter has been incarsirated for the past 5 years. She went to get her drivers license and found her owes an unGodly amount. 5 yrs ago we hired a bad attorney who himself ended up serving drug related time. while representing our daughter he was to have informed the court at the child surport hearing that she was not and had not ever worked AND she was going to be locked up for a long time. he said he did this, he did not! what steps do we take to get this amount redused?

You need to contact an attorney and discuss the details of her case with him. It may be possible to file a motion to set aside the child support order, or other wise defeat the collection of the child support arrears. MOre information is required to dtermine what defenses may be available to you.
