Legal Question in Family Law in California

Contempt after Contempt has no effect on Deadbeat Dad

I have a child support order open since '94 only got $2000 so far & only recently $700 of that. He paid for June but only $41 this month. I'm pissed. This bum had 16 contempt charges hanging over him which are gone poof! March of this year I was served papers for a hearing for modification again, its how I found out he had been working for at least a year& had gotten caught,he was given 12 contempt charges 5 of which were dropped,I only found out this after the hearing I appeared by phone after going to hearings he requested & never showed. He'd file when locked up because it would get him out of jail for a day. They never mentioned the contempt charges. Now he hasnt paid again & I want to see this jerk squirm. He's been in hiding for years only now do I know a place to find him. Luck is on my side now 2 years ago he told the kids he owned property, I WANT IT. Since he owes me to the tune of $147,000 (not including rearrages) If I offer to strike a deal of sorts can the courts make him have to give me the land? And what papers do I file to halt the order that allows him to have his five contempts dropped? He physically abused all of us, its my turn to abuse him.

You should contact the local child support agency and complain about the lack of support enforcement. Also file a motion to set the arrears and then record an abstract of judgement in the county or counties in which you believe he may own real property on in which you think he may inherit property.
