Legal Question in Family Law in California

Custody Help

My sons father has not been a stable part of his life for the past 14 months. He sees him for a few hours every other month. He does not pay child support, even though I have opened a case, and lives a generally unstable life. I would like to petition for full custody, but am afraid that I may be opening an unnecessary can of worms. What are my chances of obtaining full legal custody with minimal to no visitation?

Re: Custody Help

You need to consult with an attorney in the area in which the case will be heard. This will allow you to discuss the facts with the attorney and then have a better idea of the options available.
