Legal Question in Family Law in California

Can I move out of state?

Tired of fighting the unfair system for custody. unable to stay in CA due to high child support I'm paying. Financially cleaned out to point where can't pay my own rent or commute to work. Plan to relocate out of state immediately after (third) court date this month. Realize I will continue support payments. If for some reason I get awarded custody of 1 or more children, can I still legally relocate out of state? thanks.

Re: Can I move out of state?

YOU MUST HAVE SOLE CUSTODY OF THE MINOR CHILD AND WILL NEED TO OBTAIN COURT'S PERMISSION (IF THE OTHER PARENT IS OPPOSING YOU RELOCATION) IN ORDER TO RELOCATE TO ANTHOER STATE. YOU WILL NEED TO PROVIDE THE COURT WITH SUFFICIENT INFORMATION AS TO WHY RELOCATION SERVES THE BEST INTEREST OF THE MINOR CHILD(REN). PLEASE CALL MY OFFICE FOR FURTHER INFORMATION OR AN APPOINTMENT AT 310-839-7700.
