Legal Question in Family Law in California

What is statutory rape? If I am 15 and the other person is 17 going on 18, would this be illegal?? What ramifications could come of this, worst case scenario?

It is statutory rape. You are both juveniles, so the matter would be handled in juvenile delinquency. This question is better suited for the criminal defense category, and not family law category.
