Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Enforcement Rosponsibility

A dog is terrorizing a neighborhood. I have called the local organization responsible for animal control and they refuse to perform their duty and take the dog into custody even though the dog never has a license and is almost certainly unlicensed.

How do I force animal control to do their duty and take this threat away from my community.

Re: Enforcement Rosponsibility

Organize your neighbors and have multiple complaints about the dog. If multiple calls do not get results then go to the city council or county board of supervisors with your complaint about lack of enforcement.

You don't force them to do anything. Call the police for help or take care of the problem yourself.
