Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Proposed Statement of Decision

We are pro se defendants and cross-complainants in an action quieting title. At the conclusion of our 2-day bench trial the judge asked that each party submit a ''Proposed Statement of Decision'' and a ''Proposed Judgment''. I understand that on the statement of decision we are to state what decision we feel the court should make and the reasons why (i.e., case law and state statutes).... other than that we're unsure of how to proceed.

We would be very grateful for some specific information regarding the format, content (and anything else)in writing the proposed statement of decision and proposed judgment.

Thank you in advance

Re: Proposed Statement of Decision

Your question is similar to asking someone to write a summary of a movie they never saw. If you want a meaningful response, you will have to provide more detail as to what evidence and legal arguments were made, etc.
