Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

Employer Sponsors

I was wondering if we can sponsor a woman from the middle east as a caregiver to live in as a care giver with my mother. Is it possible for us to sponsor her? We had placed numerous ads in the newspapers, however, no one responded to our ads. She speaks farsi, and is a very helpful to my mother who is blind and handicapped. Can we sponsor her as an employer even though were not a company or a business?

Re: Employer Sponsors

It is possible to sponsor an immigrant for a position for which there are no U.S. workers available. However, because there is a long waiting period with the Immigration Service processing time, it is likely that you would have to wait more than 4 years before that person can immigrate to the U.S permanently to work for you. There are some other temporary visas available for foreign workers. Please call our offices for more information.

Thanks,
