Legal Question in Intellectual Property in California

Copies of my SIGNED paintings are being sold all over the internet!

I just discovered that my SIGNED

artwork has been duplicated and is

being sold in stores and all over the

web (including places like

amazon.com). As if that isn't bad

enough, some places are selling my

work for upwards of $100. I have never

given anyone permission to duplicate

my work, never signed a contract or

even entered into a verbal agreement.

Worst of all I have no idea what to do

about it so any help at all would be

greatly appreciated.

Aside from suing the b******s, you should be registering your artwork with the US Copyright Office if you have not already done so - this will increase the amounts you can sue for. Please feel free to write or call me if you like.

You may have a clear lawsuit for copyright infringement. You should start with a series of cease and desist letters against everyone selling your artwork.

Please contact a qualified intellectual property attorney with experience in the area of copyright infringement.
