Your Zip code indicates you are moving to or from Kodiak, Alaska. Unless you are moving to someplace like Homer or Seldovia, that's going to be an expensive move, and you probably have a written contract. Also, what state's law applies to the moving contract - does it say?

Anyway, the terms of the contract should specify the form of payment that's acceptable, and I know a lot of them do require payment in some bounce-proof form like cash, cashier's check or money order.

By the way, the LawGuru topic of "Intellectual Property" is supposed to be for questions relating to trademarks, copyrights, patents and trade secrets.
