Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Bad Employer

My boss gave me a check that bounced 2mo ago. Has not paid up. Was payinh under the table (I was unaware) till I pointed it out. I quit. sent my hours via email that day. she wants me to sighn a time sheet for my final check that she said she was going to already send me over a week ago. I have not sighned anny tax forms ect......Do I tell her to pay what she owes me including the bounced check one more time or do I just file a claim? This under 200.00 total I am talking about here. is it worth it?

Re: Bad Employer

Whether it is worth it to you to go after $200.00 is up to you. If you think it is, file a claim with the California Labor Commission and ask for waiting time penalties in addition to the wages owed you. She may want to settle with you once she gets notice of the claim, to avoid further problems with the State for not paying taxes.
