Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Last day, last pay

I worked 2 days for a job, and they fired me, it is only technically wrongful termination. A week and a half later, I went to them, but still have not received my paycheck. Even if I receive my pay, can I sue for back pay from the time they fired me until the time they give me the check?

Re: Last day, last pay

You can file a claim with the California Labor Commissioner and ask for wages due and waiting time penalties, equal to a day's pay for every day they are late, up to a maximum of 30 days.

If you haven't been paid, file a claim with the Labor Commissioner for the money, interest and penalties due.
