Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I dive my own vehical for work. My employer pays me for my milage but I have to deduct the round trip milage from my home to the office back to home. Can they do this?

Yes. Employers are not responsible for the cost of the commute to and from work. Only for necessarily incurred expenses in the course and scope of conducting business on behalf of the company.

Of course. Every employee has to drive to / from work, without being paid for it.
